- 1/2 tablespoon Mustard Seeds

- 1/2 teaspoon Asafoetida
- 1 tablespoon Peanut
- 3 Onion finely chopped medium size
- to taste Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar (optional)
- 1 tbsp Coriander finely chopped
- Lemon Extracted juice of 1 Lemon
- 1 Tablespoon (optional) sev
Instructions to make Maharashtrian Poha
- Take Poha in a strainer and wash it 2 times. Now drain away all the excess water from it and keep it aside for 5 minutes. Check out that there should not be excess water in it.....or elses our poha will become soggy and sticky.


- Take a pan.Heat oil in it.Add peanuts into it.Fry it untill it becomes little golden in colour. Now add mustard seeds and let it crackle. Add cumin seeds. Add green chilli and curry leaves.

- Add asafoetida. Now add onion and saute it untill it becomes little reddish in colour. Now add soaked poha in it.Add turmeric,salt,lemon juice,sugar to it. Mix it well and keep it on low flame for 2 minutes covering it with the lid. Off

- Now garnish it with coriander leaves and sev and serve it in a plate.
