Ingredients and spices that need to be Prepare to make Dahi Aloo:
- 4 potatoes (boiled)
- 1/2 cup hung curd
- 1/2 tsp haldi powder
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder (as needed)
- 1 tsp roasted cumin powder,coriander and dry red chilli powder
- 1 onion (chopped)
- 1 pinch hing
- 1 tsp green chilli, ginger and garlic paste
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- As taste Salt
- as required Refined oil for frying
Instructions to make Dahi Aloo
- First wash potatoes. Slit it. Pressure cook for 3 whistles. Once it is done. Switch off the flame. Cool it. Open the lid. Put the potatoes in a cold water. Peel it and cut into cubes. Once it is done. Keep aside..Heat oil in a kadai. I am using wonder chef kadai. Fry potatoes for few minutes. Then transfer to a plate. In the same kadai add little oi. For few minutes fry mustard seeds, 2 dry red chillies and curry leaves. Then add chopped onion fry it for 1 minute. Then add all the dry masala.



- Mix..well. Add a pinch of hing...


- Then add water as needed. Close the lid and cook for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes take out the lid then add dahi.. Mix..welll..



- Close the lid and cook till the masala cook well. Once it is done..Check it. If it is done.. Then transfer to a serving glass bow...



- Ready to serve Dahi Aloo with naan and chappati's
