  1. First soak the dal for 1 hour. After soaking wash it 3-4 times and strain the water.
  2. Now in a pressure cooker pour the dal and add 3 cups of water, salt, turmeric powder, and green chilli, mix and cover the lid and cook for one whistle on high flame and 15 minutes on medium to low flame.
  3. After 15 minutes open the lid and mix it with the help of a whisk.
  4. Now heat up a pan with oil add chopped onion green chilli and garlic, fry it for a minute till colour changed.
  5. Now pour the tadka into the prepared dal and mix it and our dal fry is ready. Serve hot.
