  10. 3 Tsp Green Peas
  11. 3 Tsp Sweet Corn
  12. 3-4 Cloves
  13. 3-4 Pepper corns
  14. 2 Chopped Green Chillies
  15. 2 Tsp Garlic Paste
  16. 1/2 Tsp Ginger Paste
  17. 1 Tsp Lemon Juice
  18. 1/4 Tsp Red Chillie Powder
  19. 1/4 Tsp Turmeric Powder
  20. 1 Pinch Garam Masala
  21. To Taste Salt
  22. 1 pinch Hing(Aesfoetida)
  23. 1/2 Tsp Cumin seeds
  24. 1 Small Cinnamon Stick
  25. as required Oil For Cooking
  26. 4 Cups Water
  27. For Raita
  28. 1 Medium Sized Cucumber Finely Chopped
  29. 2 Cups Curd
  30. 2 Tsp Sugar
  31. 1/2 Tsp Everest Chaat Masala
  32. 1 Tsp Finely Chopped Mint leaves
  33. 1 Tsp Finely Chopped Coriander Leaves

Instructions to make Shahi Paneer Daliya Khichdi with Cucumber Raita

  1. Soak Moong Daal in water for half an hour. Add 2 Tsp cooking oil to the pressure cooker let it heat. Add Cumin seeds and let them crackle. Add Hing, Cinnamon, Clove and Peppercorns.
  2. Add green chillies, ginger and garlic. Saute for a while. Add onions and saute till golden brown.
  3. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder. Sauté untill it's properly cooked. Amount of red chilli can be adjusted according to the taste. For kids red chilli powder can be skipped.
  4. Now add all the vegies like carrot, bottle guard, green peas, tomatoes and spinach. Cook for 2 min.
  5. Add cottage cheese cubes and sauté well so that all the masala is properly mixed with it. Take care that cottage cheese doesnt get mashed or broken.
  6. Add water and mix well. Add soaked moong daal(strain water) and daliya. Add Salt to taste. Add chopped coriander. Mix all the ingredients and pressure cook for 2 to 3 whistles.
  7. Let the cooker cool down to release pressure and Shahi Paneer Khichdi is ready to serve.
  8. For Raita, take a large bowl and mix curd, sugar, chopped cucumber, mint, coriander and mix well. Add Chaat Masala and blend well. You can use a fork or hand blender to mix the raita. Keep it in fridge for 15 minutes and serve chilled with steaming hot Khichdi.
  9. Serve with roasted Papad for crunchiness.
