- Wash and soak rice in water for 2 hours.

- In blender add soaked rice, tomatoes, ginger, whole red chillies, salt, cumin seeds, asofoetida, 1/4cup water and make smooth batter.

- Transfer to bowl, add curry leaves, onion and coriander leaves.

- Mix completely and add 1 cup water.

- The batter consistency should be free flowing.
- Pour 2 ladlefull of the batter on hot griddle.
- Drizzle some oil on it.

- Cook on medium flame.
- When it turns crispy, remove from flame and serve hot.
