- 1 cup Rice
- 1/2 cup Tuver dal
- 2 finely Chopped Onions
- 2 tbsp greatted Ginger
- 2 tbsp greatted Garlic
- 3 tbsp Peanuts
- 2 chopped potatoes
- 2 dry red chillies
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 cloves
- 3 peppers
- 2 Star Anise
- 2 tbsp Dry crushed coconut
- 1/4 tbsp Asafoetida
- 2 tbsp Red chili powder
- 1 tbsp Turmeric
- 2 tbsp Coriander powder
- 1 tbsp Garam masala
- 1/2 cup Chopped coriander
- 4 tbsp Oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions to make Khandeshi Masala Khichdi
- First wash the rice and dal and soak them for 30 minutes.


- Heat the cooker and put oil in it, add mustard, cumin and let it crackers, Then add dry red chillies, Asafoetida, bay leaves, cloves, star anise, cinnamon and stir.

- Then add onions, ginger, garlic, peanuts and potatoes to it and saute, add asafoetida, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala and salt and stir it till the oil separates from the spices.

- Then add rice and dal to it and mix after adding 2 glasses of water and let it boil. Now, close the lid and cook for 3 whistles on medium heat. Turn off the gas flame and let it cool naturally.

- After cooling, open the lid of the cooker and add chopped coriander and mix.

- So, Khandeshi masala khichdi is ready take it out on a serving plate add ghee and serve with papad, onion and tomato.
